Animals and insects lifestyle

Climate change threatens a million species of animals and plants. Based on climate models, researchers at the University of Leeds in England based on the premise that if the expulsion of gases that produce the effect is drastically reduced invernaderono until 2050, one quarter of the species of land animals and plants become extinct.

Carbon dioxide (CO2), which produces the greenhouse effect, also damages to marine life. The increased pressure of CO2 in the atmosphere causes the gas dissolves in the water incrementally, resulting in a decrease in pH in the sea and it is acidified, thus dissolving the calcium carbonate exoskeleton of organisms such as corals and plankton.
